Parent & Carer Training

If you didn’t know, parents and carers of people with disability with NDIS plans can also receive their own training.

The role of parents and carers is essential but can be incredibly challenging, so it is best to include them in your NDIS funding to cover the cost of carer training. On their website, NDIS says.

“The role of families and carers is often essential in supporting people with disability to realise their goals, so it is important to include them in discussions about supports.”

Our training includes record keeping, recruiting and managing staff, understanding challenging behaviour and managing your funding, among other things. If you’re curious or confused about using your NDIS funds for parent and carer training, we are here to help you.

Working for Help2homes has been amazing! the staff are so kind and caring and always look out for you no matter what. I have been with them for around 4-5 months (unsure to be honest) but I have loved every single second. I enjoy working with my clients and helping them out in day to day life. Even though some days it can be challenging the staff are always there to help me if I need them.

Tash is great. She does a good job of cleaning and provides good conversation when needed.

They have helped me be more confident going out in the community. Definitely recommended, 100% YES.
