Respite care allows carers to have short breaks from their caring responsibilities, and participants get to enjoy a change from their daily routine.
We know that families and carers are the top advocates for people with disabilities, as they provide practical and emotional support that participants need, on a daily basis, to live their best life.
When your caregiver needs some time off to manage their own health and wellbeing, you can use your NDIS funding for respite care. Our respite services are goal specific and applicable on and off the grid, which means we can take you outside and create a customised itinerary for your ideal getaway, such as a Disney Cruise in Queensland, among other things.
Respite gives you and your carer time away from repetitive activities. Depending on your needs, respite can last for days; nonetheless, we are ready to provide support and be your carer.
For a participant, this service includes:
Allowing time for rest and recuperation for both the carer and participant
Giving the carer a chance to tend to personal needs
Relieving pressure and stress by enjoying change from their daily routine
Improving the participant’s social skills and interactions outside home
Giving the participant the chance to return to everyday life empowered
Our ultimate goal is to improve the lives of people with disability, empower them to make their own decisions, assist them to live the life they want, and help them to socialise within their homes and community.
